Cette \u00e9nergie calorifique peut ensuite \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour la pr\u00e9paration d&rsquo;eau chaude sanitaire domestique, pour le chauffage d\u2019appoint de b\u00e2timents ou encore pour divers proc\u00e9d\u00e9s industriels.<\/p>\n<p>Les applications solaires thermiques se subdivisent en plusieurs categories, notamment en<\/p>\n<p>-petites unit\u00e9s r\u00e9sidentielles pour la pr\u00e9paration d&rsquo;eau chaude en r\u00e9ponse aux besoins thermiques domestiques \u00e0 l\u2019aide de capteurs vitr\u00e9s ou p.ex. le chauffage de piscine avec des capteurs ouverts<\/p>\n<p>-grandes centrales solaires thermodynamiques d\u00e9centralis\u00e9es, produisant de la chaleur et de l\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide de trackers paraboliques combin\u00e9s \u00e0 des syst\u00e8mes de couplage chaleur-force.<\/p>\n<p>Le fluide caloporteur pouvant \u00eatre de l\u2019eau courante, de l\u2019air circulant, un m\u00e9lange antigel (p. ex. eau-glycol), un fluide \u00e0 changement de phase, ou encore une huile poss\u00e9dant une temp\u00e9rature de vaporisation plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e pour les applications n\u00e9cessitant de tr\u00e8s hautes temp\u00e9ratures (p. ex. st\u00e9rilisation \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Les installations solaires thermiques r\u00e9sidentielles sont principalement utilis\u00e9es dans notre latitude pour la pr\u00e9paration d&rsquo;eau chaude sanitaire pour les habitats individuels, en particulier utilis\u00e9s aussi pour des syst\u00e8mes solaires thermiques combin\u00e9s individuels et collectifs (p. ex. eau chaude sanitaire et chauffage de b\u00e2timent).
